Sarah-Jane Sewell was elected on 12th December 2011 as National Deputy Chairman Membership for the first time with two thirds of the vote. Having been a Branch Chairman, an Area and Regional officer, Sarah-Jane fought a hard campaign to great success.

Sarah-Jane initially grew up in Cambridgeshire before moving to Lincolnshire where she carried out her Secondary and Further Education. She is currently living in Surrey during term time and is in her first year at Royal Holloway, University of London studying BA Politics and International Relations.

From the Beginning

Sarah-Jane is the founder and first elected Chairman of the highly successful South Holland and the Deepings Constituency Branch. Despite this constituency being a safe Tory seat, it looked somewhat threadbare with regards to Conservative Future. In the aftermath of the General Election and studying Government and Politics at A-Level, Sarah-Jane became inspired to become much more involved in party politics. Upon discovery that there was no Conservative Future branch in her Constituency, she took the steps to creating a branch. Pulling together a handful of friends from school and colleagues from her time as a South Holland District Youth Councillor, South Holland and the Deepings Conservative Future Branch was born.  Before the first AGM of the branch, Sarah-Jane Sewell was offered the position of Vice-Chairman of communications on the East Midlands Region Executive. She then went on to serve on the Lincolnshire Area executive.

Sarah-jane has subsequently relaunched RHULCA at Royal Holloway when starting as a Fresher there, as well as serving as a vice-chairman on the South Holland and the Deepings association management executive, Social Action officer for the East Midlands Region Conservative Future
